BALTIMORE – Students who complete the associate degree for transfer with the California Community Colleges can now transfer to Coppin State University and pay in-state tuition rates as part of a new transfer agreement, Expand Eagle Nation program, between California Community Colleges and Coppin State.

Coppin State University President Anthony L. Jenkins and California Community Colleges Chancellor Sonya Christian commemorated the new partnership with a signing February 27, at the El Camino College. This initiative aims to provide more educational opportunities and support student success by offering a straightforward path to a four-year degree.

“We are excited to join forces with the California Community Colleges and welcome students from California to Eagle Nation," said Dr. Anthony L. Jenkins, President of Coppin State University. "Students out of state will now have the opportunity to experience our nationally ranked programs from healthcare, STEM, social sciences, and business."

California is one of the 40 U.S. states and territories covered by the Expand Eagle Nation initiative, which allows students who live in states with limited access to an HBCU, to pay the same tuition as Maryland residents while they earn their undergraduate degree at Coppin State University.
